A lot of it is for my game design (characters and world), and other things are from mini projects and responses to artistic movements > v < Everything is finished other than one picture which I am working on right now as an extension :'D; The art varies a lot for the characters I think. Hi there! Thank you all so much for the interest and support regarding the STORM DRIFTER project! With its completion I thought I would share some of the behind-the-scenes design sketches including character, costume, creature and environment design. My (Typical) Painting Process
Usually my WIPs get lost in an abyss, but I had a few saves on my phone! So I thought it could be helpful to make a blog entry on my painting process- maybe to link to clients, but hey, maybe some of you might enjoy it too! I start off with a 'barbie/ken doll' sketch of characters in pose, just in pencil. The anatomy is usually a bit wank- I fiddle with it a lot once I start painting. (Enjoy heavy Take haha) I roughly sketch costumes in digital to get an idea of how fabrics might fold: it's a little easier than constantly having to erase things! I begin my 'greyscale render' on top of this: combining line-art with greyscale painting, to produce a shaded result. Setting my greyscale sketch to be on top, I add flat colours underneath. The colouring now looks a bit shaded, but a little fake, as it doesn't yet reflect accurate environmental light reactions! I now consider my light source colours (this affects both highlights and shadow tones), and using overlay for lighting and

Hey! I'm Madomon/Madorin, back from an almost five year hiatus, and I feel like an elderly person lost in an Apple store. I can't navigate this new layout, and everyone's had name changes, who are you people? :'D If there is anyone out there that I used to talk to, hey, I hope you're doing good! And the same to any watchers who either diligently waited, or forgot they were following this account :^D
I'm quite interested in getting back into RP-ing, and hoping to maybe use this account for hobby stuff, like small sketches and things! One thing I didn't notice as a younger person though is how many RP groups seem to lean on cuter, very sparkle
Back from Singapore but short hiatus!
Sorry for inactivity! Thank you to new watchers [if you're still here TT 7 TT] and for comments and stuff, I'll be replying and things when I can! I've just got back from a trip to Singapore for education-y reason things, and a lot of my time before that was... Well, preparing for that, so I sort of have been very inactive already Q v Q;
I've still got a few things to get round to doing, which hopefully at the latest will be taken care of in about 2-3 weeks, but after that I will be back! + m + With a lot of things to upload and hopefully a new html layout and avatar and stuff;; need to get round to using this again ahahaha;; OTL
